All-on-4 and All-on-6: fixed teeth on implants

For patients with no teeth, or with teeth no longer worth saving, the whole jaw can rest on four or six implants carrying a fixed bridge. These are the All-on-4 and All-on-6 methods. Unlike a removable denture, this bridge stays in place while you eat and speak.

What these methods mean in practice

Four or six implants are placed in the jawbone, positioned so they share the load of a full row of teeth evenly. A bridge with a complete set of teeth is then fixed onto them. Only a dentist removes and services the bridge; for you it works like your own teeth.

Four or six implants

The bone decides the number. Where bone is well preserved, six implants give a larger area of support and spread the load more evenly. Where bone has thinned, the All-on-4 layout with tilted posterior implants often makes a fixed bridge possible without bone grafting. The decision is made after a CBCT 3D scan showing how much bone is actually there.

Who it is for

These methods suit patients without teeth, patients with loose teeth from advanced gum disease, and anyone whose removable denture will not stay put. Age by itself is not the obstacle; general health and the scan findings are what matter.

The course of treatment

After the examination and 3D scan you receive a plan and a quote. Implant placement is done under local anesthesia. During healing you wear a temporary restoration, and once the implants have fully integrated, the definitive fixed bridge is made from a digital impression. The whole implant process is described in our article on implant placement.

Patients visiting from abroad

A large part of our All-on-4 and All-on-6 patients come from the diaspora. Treatment is organised in a small number of planned visits: diagnostics and placement in one, fitting of the definitive bridge in another, with healing time in between spent at home. Write to us by email or WhatsApp with your situation and we will map out realistic dates before you book travel.

Cost and the first step

The cost depends on the number of implants and the type of bridge, so a quote follows the examination and scan. Orientation prices are on our price list. The first step is a consultation with a 3D scan, where you learn what is feasible in your case and what it costs exactly. You can book it here.
